I got injured. What happened? 🤔 With Venus Williams.
Hey everyone, happy 2023! I hope you all had a great start to the year. Mine was going well until I experienced a mishap on the court, and I wanted to share what happened.
Last summer, I played four tournaments and then took four months for non-stop practice, preparing for the Australian Open. I started my journey in New Zealand, but faced a challenge when my bags, including my racket, didn't arrive. After some frantic calls, we managed to get a replacement racket, and I finally got my bags three days later.
During my matches, the rain caused multiple delays, and I had to adapt to playing indoors. Unfortunately, during one of the matches, I injured my leg. Despite trying to push through, I had to withdraw from the Australian Open due to tears in my hamstring attachment.
This injury has been overwhelming, but I'm focusing on rehab and recovery. I'm currently unable to play tennis, but I'm working on regaining confidence in my body. I'll take you on this journey with me, and hopefully, I'll be back on the court soon.
Thank you all for your support. I'll keep you updated on my progress and life. Happy 2023, and more updates to come!
