Sarah Gorden, a DePaul University alum and defender for the Chicago Red Stars, has significantly contributed to the success of DePaul's women's soccer program. Known for her relentless and competitive nature on the field, Sarah helped her team win the Big East women's soccer title and secure a spot in the NCAA tournament during her junior year. She made history by becoming the first DePaul women's soccer player to be drafted into the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
Despite almost missing the draft, Sarah attended and was selected by the Chicago Red Stars. Her journey wasn't without challenges; she discovered she was pregnant during her sophomore year. With the support of her parents, she continued playing soccer while raising her son, Caden.
