Podcast Ep. 27: Polina Edmunds and Ting Cui Interview
Ting Cui, the 2019 Junior World Bronze Medalist, discusses her journey through injuries and recovery. She suffered significant ankle injuries in 2019, which required extensive rehabilitation. Despite a quick initial recovery, a subsequent injury set her back further, leading to a slower and more challenging comeback. Ting shared her struggles with mental health during this period and her decision to take a gap year to focus on recovery and self-discovery. She has been training with different coaches and is currently working with Paul Wylie in Lake Placid. Ting has also been involved in a teen-run organization called Women in Politics. She remains hopeful about returning to competitive skating, aiming for a comeback in the fall and possibly eyeing future Olympics, all while maintaining a focus on enjoying her skating journey day by day.
