#5 Otto Graham | NFL Films | Top 10 Quarterbacks of All Time
Otto Graham comes in at number five on the countdown of the best quarterbacks of all time. Otto the Great is in magnificent form today. It's hard to argue against winning; he dominated his era and was an outstanding quarterback in any era. Otto Graham began filling the air with passes and was always mentioned in conversations about the best quarterback of all time. He was all-league nine of his ten years with the Browns in the 1940s and 50s and helped transform pro football. Modern quarterbacking dates back to what Otto Graham did for those Rams. He was the first guy to take drop back and throw to wide receivers running pattern combinations to get open. Graham was tough and played in a time when players endured a lot more physical punishment. In the 1950 championship, he threw for four touchdowns. Otto Graham led a team to ten consecutive championship games and won seven of them, which is amazing. He never missed a game and was known as "Automatic Otto." Otto Graham was a magnificent quarterback and certainly deserving of his place in the top ten, if not the top five. He was a winner, tough, a great leader, and one of the all-time greats.
