Michael Walchhofer after Val d'Isere Super-G - 1st place
Congratulations, Michael, for this new victory in the super-G at Val d'Isère. It was quite a fight but a great feeling, I guess?
Yes, thanks. It was really a hard fight, especially with the bad light on this difficult course. I'm a little bit surprised by this good result.
What was the most difficult today?
I think the bad light and, for sure, the difficult slope. But I think the secret for me was to fight really to the end.
You had a strong season start at Lake Louise and a good result again in Beaver Creek. Are you in good form, Michael?
Yes, the shape is really good at the moment. Maybe it comes at the right time. I'm skiing excellently, and that's good for the rest of the season.
What is your main goal this winter?
For sure, it's the Olympic Winter, and the main goal is to catch the gold medal.
Good, congratulations.
Thank you.
