McKayla Maroney 2012 incident

About 45 minutes before the competition began, McKayla Maroney was warming up on the floor when she fell after a tumbling pass. She laid on her back for about a minute and a half before being helped up and escorted out of the gym. USA Gymnastics Team doctor Larry Nassar conducted preliminary concussion tests and decided to take her to the medical room. Although she was conscious the whole time and her parents were with her, further examination revealed signs of a concussion. As a precaution, she was taken to the hospital for a CAT scan. They have already petitioned for her to advance to the trials.
