Daniela Silivaș: Before She Was a Star, 1985
Romania confidently gave Daniela Silivas international opportunities leading up to the 1985-1988 Olympic cycle. At just 14 years old, Silivas, who finished second in the all-around at the European Junior Championships, is being recognized as a potential successor to the great Ekaterina Szabo. With strong support from coach Bela Karolyi, Silivas impressed with her floor routine, showcasing her dynamic tumbling skills and engaging the crowd. She is considered a promising future talent in Romanian gymnastics.
