Knee Injuries Left Knee 1984-02-14 Torn ligaments in the left knee. Brian Orser was preparing for the 1984 Winter Olympics when he suffered a serious knee injury. The injury required immediate medical attention and caused significant concern about his ability to compete. During a practice session, Brian Orser landed awkwardly on a jump. 3 months Brian underwent surgery to repair the torn ligaments followed by an intensive physical therapy program.
