Bob Waterfield starred in the NFL for eight seasons as a punter, defensive back, and quarterback. In 1945, he became the only rookie quarterback to win the league MVP and lead his team to the NFL title, securing a one-point victory over the Washington Redskins by throwing two touchdown passes. Throughout his career, Waterfield earned numerous accolades, including three All-Pro selections, two Pro Bowl berths, and a spot on the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 1940s. He was also the first player in NFL history to be named league MVP in their rookie season.
