We broke into the rink!
Today, we flew to Sun Valley, Idaho! It's a family trip, not visions of him. We're skating, and the rink there is kind of cold, so we brought winter jackets. During the trip, we experienced various moments, such as running to catch transportation, feeling the altitude, and enjoying the scenery. We arrived at the Sun Valley Resort with a nice view and had some delicious food, including a Fourth of July dessert.
After a short rest, we headed to the ice rink for practice. The rink is unique because it's outside, which makes it a cool place to skate, even though it's warm in July. Despite some initial confusion about the directions, we made it to the rink. The ice felt different, but we adjusted quickly.
We practiced for our July 4th show, which will feature headliners, fireworks, and a routine. Everyone did great, and it felt good to be back on the ice in Sun Valley. After practice, we looked forward to skating under the stars later that night.

2016 U.S. Nationals: Maia Shibutani/Alex Shibutani FD (Overlay Audio)
Maya and Alex Shibutani delivered an outstanding performance, which left the audience on their feet with a standing ovation at the EXL Energy Center. Their connection and emotion on the ice were unique and resonated well with the audience. They achieved all level fours on their elements in both the short and free dances. Their performance received the third highest free dance score of all time at the U.S. Championships and the fourth highest total score, an impressive achievement for a team that many doubted could surpass their competitors.
