AJ Allmendinger suffers tire failure, hits the outside wall | NASCAR
AJ Allmendinger's right-front tire goes down entering Turn 1 at Iowa Speedway, sending the No. 16 into the outside wall. Fortunately, the tire failed where it did, not in the middle of the corner, so the impact wasn't as severe. The issue is due to a belt failure caused by too much load, resulting from either not enough air or too much camber.
AJ Allmendinger slides hard into the tire barrier in Stage 2 at Chicago.
AJ Allmendinger slides into the tire barrier from the third position in Stage 2 at the Chicago Street Course. A rare occasion to see AJ Allmendinger make a mistake on a road course. Wheelhop under braking, just trying to keep up with the two leaders, pushing corner entry, the rear tires start skipping across the asphalt, and he loses control. Corner entry is AJ Allmendinger's signature, which is why he is so good at road courses. This just reassures us how impressive the 17 and 97 are out there leading.
2010 AJ Allmendinger flip at Talladega
White Flag is out, 2.6 miles to go. Oh, trouble! The big one, Allmendinger on his lid, side over side, end over end. Kevin Harvick going to win this race, actually ended this race. Jimmie Johnson got out of shape first there but saves it, and right behind him everybody starts getting together. Looks like Tony Stewart forces Allmendinger upside down. Thank goodness for the safer barriers on that inside wall. And we've seen in the past that when something happens behind the leaders, NASCAR lets these guys race.
